Wreckless Daughter CD
‘wreckless daughter’, the fourth CD by Canadian contemporary-roots songwriter Christine Graves, has been released on her own label, Brave Music. For copies of the CD by mail, contact Christine from the contact page.

Wreckless Daughter ***1/2 (out of possible 4!)

“…delightful and continually surprising…”
Patrick Langston, Ottawa Citizen

“…a brilliant fusion of folk and jazz combined with emotionally searing lyrics.”
Denis Armstong, The Ottawa Sun

This new collection of 11 songs touches universal themes like love, habitat and human conflict. On the tender title track, ‘wreckless daughter’, Christine’s heart breaks a little. When she mends it, uplifting songs like ‘chickadeesong’ dot the recording. Creating a distinctly indie-folk sound, Dave Draves (Kathleen Edwards, Jim Bryson, Melwood Cutlery) co-produced the CD. Draves adds keyboards to the mix of acoustic, electric & slide guitars, bass, harmony vocals and percussion. Go to discs to hear samples and download free MP3’s from previous releases.

2017 holds promise

New beginnings and inspirations abound in spring. I am hopeful for the future, despite our problems and global issues. If we move ahead from love and community spirit and people before profit, we can do anything. Simply acting rather than waiting for governments or the powerful to provide or lead solutions is really key here.
